I love the tradition of making gingerbread houses so we invited uncle Chris to make "gingerbread" houses with us. I think he had just as much fun as Lucy creating his house. I wasn't very well prepared, so our poor houses have flat roofs and Lucy's collapsed because the dumb store bought frosting was too soft. Next year I will be making homemade frosting and possibly making real gingerbread for the houses...maybe. Kate just hung out and watched the process. Next year we'll let her join in the chaos of it! Things were getting a little messy, I went downstairs for a minute, come back up and Lucy is reaching her hands into the frosting bucket. She has uncle Chris wrapped around her finger so he was just letting the mess unfold! Anyways it was lots of fun!

Gingerbread houses are for eating, not for beauty. At least that's how I feel, haha. It's crazy for me to see Chris. He looks so grown up. It's hard to believe it was so long ago that we went to school together. Tell him I say "hi."
