I walked down the stairs yesterday and saw this. Lucy told me it was her "Elmo flower"! I guess he does kinda look like the tulips in our front yard...what an imagination!

First steps

Yes, that's right Kate took 4 steps last night. "Sniff" "sniff" my little baby is almost out of baby mode-it's going too fast!!!!

Easter '09

Man this year is going by fast! This is my first post of the year, I know it's already almost May! '09 is turning out to be pretty crazy so far. We bought a house and are moved in, but we still have lot's of work to do. There's still boxes everywhere and many projects to get done (I'm sure there will always be many projects!)

Here's some pics from our Easter. We dyed eggs that morning, we meant to the night before but it didn't work out. We went to my old ward for the very last time. I say very last time because they changed the boundaries, and the Applewood got dissolved into the other wards. Anyways it was a good day, Chad's dad, brother, uncle, sister and niece came over for dinner. We hung out and had a fun time.

Kate's little milestones

So, this post is really for me to document some of Kate's little milestones. I'm doing it this way because if I just write it down on paper, I'm sure I'll lose it! Around October 25th she rolled over. 1st tooth popped through on November 29th, and she started clicking her tongue on December 10th!

Thanksgiving

So our Thanksgiving day was pretty crazy (as was many peoples I'm sure!) We started pretty early, I made the stuffing and an apple pie in the morning. Chad put the ribs in the crock pot, and prepped the turkey (yes, I have a salmonella phobia!) We had to borrow our neighbors oven for the day too, luckily he wasn't home 'till later. We had sort of a none traditional/traditional meal, we had ribs, beef steak, turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffing, veggies, etc. Oh yeah, Chad's dad brought an oyster casserole at Chads request, and his mom made potato salad (also Chads request :)), and a salad. I also made a pumpkin cheesecake the night before. Chad's mom, dad, brother Chris, and sister (came later) all came so we had way too much food for everyone! It was a fun, busy day, I'm so glad I have cool in-laws! Kate was a total grandpa's girl, and he loved it! She's becoming more interactive and happy it seems like. And Lucy was her silly self, running around keeping us all entertained!
